ELISABETH EVANS
Information Manager and QA/QC Officer
Elisabeth has been at ERI since 1991, when she was brought on as a temporary receptionist. At that point in her life, she was simply trying to find a steady paycheck, having recently graduated with an incredibly useful degree in Piano Performance. She began her career by working nearly every job the company offered and adding a few that it didn't (she never did learn how to drip a nitrate column, however). With a history of organizing everything in sight, a penchant for databases and data analysis was soon discovered and she was put in charge of all the company data.
Though field work still shows up on her plate occasionally (she surveys with the company's historical Lietz Set 4A Total Station), most of her time is spent in front of her computer, as her duties include data analysis and visualization, GIS analysis and mapping, and anything else that might show up at her office door. Her spare time is usually spent chasing the newest hobby/obsession and hanging out with her family.
